First time here and it won’t be the last. We drove 18 miles to try it. The Detroit-Style pizza with pepperoni was fantastic, the atmosphere was pleasant and Alane was an attentive server. The Carolina wings were also quite delicious. Prices are great and this place is a gem of a secret. If you haven’t been here, what are you waiting for?

This tiki bar restaurant tucked away in the woods was really fun. Children played in a sand pit. Some people relaxed on chairs with their feet in the sand. There is a mini golf course. It was nice sunny and breezy with absolutely no bugs!!! The food and drinks were tasty. All the waiters and waitresses were nice. Just fun family vibes all around. This place was so cute and had so much charm. Nice place to unwind and relax with family and friends. I don’t know how often they change their drink menu but the banana daiquiri was delicious. There is an evening after 10pm adults only post but during the day it’s all family friendly oriented and wholesome. Great for family get togethers or parties. Friends and I were there celebrating a be-lated birthday. The food portions are ginormous!!

Amazing food and good vibe all around. Big "beach" in the center to keep the kiddos busy in the sand. Pricing for food and drinks very fair. Traditional cheesesteak was amazing!!

Went to enjoy cocktails at the tiki bar for happy hour and there is no better outdoor space on a beautiful day! We've eaten there before but this was our first time having the Detroit style pizza. Having lived in Detroit for years, its delicious and authentic. If you go earlier in the afternoon, there's plenty of things for kids to do, like corn hole, playing in the sand, or mini golf.

Awesome experience for the Christmas Bar and everything is super well decorated. I love trying the themed drinks, it’s fun to see how much they grow it every year. They have a dinner buffet for 14.99 a person (food such as Mac and cheese, pizza, wings, etc). My partner said the food was really good! Drinks are around 10-15 for a special cocktail, anything like beer/white claws are average. The special themed cocktails are also BIG - so very worth the price. One of the best themed Christmas bars in PGH honestly and this was my third year here. I did wait 1 hour for a table (8 people) but if that happens just stay and hangout in the main bar area (we played pool and had a good time while we waited).

This was my first time coming to the North Star and I'm surprised that I hadn't learned of it's existence earlier. The building seemed pretty cool and had a nice outdoor area. However we came on a cold day so it wasn't very busy which is perfect for me because I don't like people. We were greated instantly upon entering and our server was very friendly. We ordered cheesesticks and two Sicilian pizzas. One white and the other pepperoni and sausage. The food came out very fast. The pizza didn't have the bay leaves which may or may not have affected the flavor but it was less for me to pick off so again, fine by me. The dough was very fluffy and airy. The cheese... oh, the cheese. A Goofy Movie level of gooeyness. Chef's kiss. Overall we had a good experience and left stuffed with plenty of leftovers.
